The local workshops have started!

The second phase of the Theatre Trails project has begun!

Following the training and exchange experience for theatre practitioners and artists, the project directly addresses the target group, involving groups of adults (workers, adult leaders, representatives of social groups with fewer opportunities, refugees/immigrants, Roma and other minorities, orphans, disabled/disabled people, adults from isolated geographical areas) in local theatre workshops.

The objective of the activity is to bring to the representatives of the final beneficiaries the

know-how shared by the project partners on theatre and performing arts techniques and creative processes suitable for the empowerment of vulnerable and disadvantaged social groups involved.

The result will be an increase in the participants’ skills in the use of these methods for self-development, group empowerment and social integration.

The local theatre workshops will last 4 months, and include a final review/event, in Italy, where participants will share the work they have done and produce one or more short theatre performances.

The aim of the activity is in fact also to expose the participants’ collective creative work to the public, through a performance created by the project participants and shown to the local audience. The performance will aim to portray the emotional and experiential experience of the respective groups of disadvantaged adults and to further raise society’s awareness of their situations, making them helpful in overcoming the challenges they are forced to face.
